"Women into healing saved my life. I was a suicidal, depressed addict who hated herself. In an atmosphere of safety, comfort and love, I learned the tools I needed to look at myself in the mirror with a smile - and without shame and guilt. My life today is honest, clean and joyous... the real core of this centre is the people - I was surrounded by a love and care that nourished my soul, and the love and care hasn't ended just because my 42 days have."

"I lived in a nice house, had a good job and thought I had it all. But there was a sense of emptiness inside of me, which only alcohol could fill. My last days of drinking were dark and suicidal, alcohol was my best friend, my lover my saviour... Women Into Healing gave me some incredible tools to turn my life into something I honestly did not think was possible... I felt supported, encouraged and safe. I will always be eternally grateful to the ladies of Women Into Healing, for giving me a new life."

"Today I feel strong in my sobriety. I like and value myself more. I have new and more efficient ways of coping with life. They made sure that I was set up with a good aftercare program and I know that they'll always be there if I need additional support. I am so very grateful for my life today. It is so different from what my life was like and I have W.I.T.H to thank!!"

Welcome to Women Into Healing

Nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s beautiful Fraser Valley, the W.I.T.H. Center offers a serene and tranquil retreat for women recovering from addiction. We are located in the municipality of Maple Ridge, in the Greater Vancouver area – one of the most beautiful and natural urban areas in the world. W.I.T.H. Center is a safe space where women who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction can go to reflect on their lives and discover new and healthy ways of living.

Women Into Healing offers a 45- to 60-day, individualized treatment program, plus aftercare, with open-ended options for longer stay. Our personalized program is designed to guide women who have lost themselves to addiction toward a positive journey of discovery and recovery. We understand that the struggle with addiction is affected by many factors, including issues with self-esteem and relationships. At W.I.T.H. we strive to help each individual find healing from the inside out. We believe in healing the whole person, not just the addiction.

Our staff are highly qualified to meet your needs and reveal the tools you need to live a new life in recovery. Training and qualifications range from certified clinical counsellors to life skill coaches, aftercare specialists and family counsellors who have overcome addiction and are living lives of example and abstinence. Our facility is equipped with a fitness room and games room. We have included exercise, yoga, and meditation in our treatment program because we believe that a healthy recovery includes healing the mind, body, and spirit.

Our Goal

To provide and maintain a non-judgemental, safe, and structured environment for women to work though their past and present towards a positive future without alcohol or chemical dependency, while improving their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well being based on self-esteem and learning to become a positive member of society.

Our Mission

To offer all we have in support and encouragement to those who seek to overcome the disease and stigma of addiction.

Our Values

  • Treat the whole person, as well as the illness.
  • Treat every person with dignity and respect.
  • Continue a commitment to the Twelve Step fellowship.
